Purple can go soft and dreamy, dark and dramatic, sporty, playful, or almost regal, so there is no reason every purple team has to end up called the Purple Power Something.
These names use actual shades and purple imagery, from lavender and lilac to plum, violet, and amethyst, so the list feels built for the color instead of copied from a generic team-name template.
My favorite purple team names
- Violet Hour — polished, memorable, and my favorite overall.
- Plum Line — short and unexpectedly sporty.
- Lavender Rush — soft color, energetic name.
- Amethyst After Dark — great for an adult team or event.
- Lilac League — especially good for school or rec groups.
- Purple Reign Check — a little silly, which is exactly the point.
- Violet Side Out — perfect for volleyball.
- Plum Motion — modern and easy to use.
- Lavender Lineup — works well for events and team games.
- Deep Purple Day — simple and color-forward.

How to make a purple team name more specific
Use the actual shade whenever you can. Lavender feels completely different from deep plum or electric violet, and that one choice usually creates better names than repeating the word purple in every line.

What I would choose
Violet Hour is my favorite because it sounds good well beyond a one-day event. For sports, Plum Line is short and clean, while Amethyst After Dark has the strongest personality for a social group.
